The courses' location, maintenance and size have a big influence on how much they're used. Many disc golf players are happy to spend extra time travelling to visit the very best courses. At the same time, whether or not the course is free to play on also matters a great deal.

Disc golf has become extremely popular, and the development is clear when you look at the number of registered rounds. Playing a round of disc golf consists of completing all the holes on one of the Danish disc golf courses. Over 386,000 rounds of disc golf are registered in Denmark in 2025.

Disc golf can be played all year round. Even though disc golf is an outdoor activity, there are also many who brave the weather during the winter. In 2025, over 55,000 rounds of disc golf were played in total across the 3 winter months of January, February and December. Most people, however, prefer to walk a round in the warmth, which is why the Danish courses are most frequently visited from April to September.

The busiest months on the disc golf courses in Denmark are May and August. In 2025, August is the busiest single month with over 45,500 registered rounds.

Many people play a round of disc golf without registering their round, and so it's hard to get a full overview of the actual number of players in Denmark. Players without a uDisc account aren't counted in the statistics and therefore make up a hidden figure. In 2025, over 23,000 unique disc golf players are registered in Denmark in uDisc.

The number of disc golf players on the Danish courses with a uDisc account is rising markedly. From 2018 to 2025 the number of registered players has risen by over 2,800%.
