Zephyr has a larger diameter than normal disc golf discs, and belongs to the class of specialty discs from Innova. It is made for throwing to each other, but is also approved by the PDGA for use in disc golf tournaments. The Zephyr is an old classic from Innova and was first released in 1992. It has been used for many different types of frisbee competitions over time, and it has been particularly popular for competitions in precision throwing.
A Zephyr has a diameter of 24.1cm, where most disc golf discs are typically between 20 and 22cm. Zephyr is also available here in weight classes that are normally outside the range approved by the PDGA. We recommend that you check with the local tournament director before using your Zephyr in PDGA sanctioned tournaments.
