Colour your discs with one of the most used dyes for disc dyeing

Pro Chemical & Dye (ProChem) is one of the best-known names in disc dyeing. The dye comes in a wide range of colours and is used by dyers around the world to create unique designs on discs. One container holds 28 grams, which is enough for several dyeing jobs.

The dye penetrates the plastic and gives intense, durable colours that keep their colour intensity over time. It works best on premium plastics in white or a light colour, such as Star, ESP and Champion. The colour result depends on technique, medium and disc colour. Pro Chem colours can be mixed with each other, which opens up almost unlimited colour combinations.

The process is simple: mix the dye with shaving cream, lotion or coconut oil in a tray, place the disc on top and let it soak for up to 24 hours. The longer the time, the stronger the colour. Afterwards the disc is rinsed in cold water and wiped off. Instructions are provided on Pro Chemical & Dye’s website, and colour swatches are available as a reference, but they are achieved on fabric, so the shades can vary slightly on plastic.

Why many choose Pro Chemical & Dye

  • One of the most used and recognised dyes for disc dyeing
  • Strong, durable colours that penetrate the plastic and last
  • Works for swirls, shaving cream dye, lotion dye and much more
  • 28 grams per container, enough for many dyeing jobs
  • Available in over 50 colours that can be mixed for your own shades

Give your discs a personal touch

Disc dyeing is one of the most fun ways to put your personal mark on your gear. With Pro Chemical & Dye you can experiment with swirls, patterns and multi-colour designs. Start with a white disc for the best result, and use our blog mini-series on disc dye for inspiration and guidance.

Pro Chemical & Dye for other purposes

The dye can be used for far more than disc golf discs. It bonds to polyester, nylon and most plastic types, and many use it to give new life to everything from 3D prints and buttons to toys and figures. We are happy to help with advice on disc dyeing, but for other projects we recommend starting from the manufacturer’s own guidance at prochemicalanddye.com.
